Today’s post is – you guessed it – all about shopping for sunglasses! Recently I’ve realized that sunglasses are something I wear all the time (hello sunny ass Texas), and they’re also something that can really pull together an outfit! The first time I spend real money on a pair of sunglasses was last year (i know right!?). There were my Polarized Ray-Ban Clubmasters (on sale right now at Nordstrom). I love them to death, but I think adding some versatility could pay off!
So I headed to my local Nordstrom Rack to scope out some different styles/designers so I could narrow down my wish-list! I knew I wanted a sexy mysterious cateye, and something either clear, or colorful! Let’s check out my five favorites:
1. Celine (far left)
These Celine sunglasses stopped my heart. I couldn’t believe such an amazing designer was at the Rack! They were totally on my radar because of the pinky/peach clear tone and the price! Literally a $500 pair of sunglasses for $150 – I was about it. The only downside was trying to figure out if I like them because of the brand, of because the shape really did work for my face… I wasn’t sure, but I definitely held on to them.
2. Salvatore Ferragamo (center)
Okay so when I first saw this I sort of tried them on as a joke! I thought the design on top totally looked like a unibrow (lol!), but once I but them on I actually really dug it! Very ***couture*** while being subtle and neutral (not to mention beign $300 cheaper than the retail price!)
3. Chloe (far right)
So these were probably the toughest to decide on. I loved the light pink shade because I knew it would look perfect with my growing pink collection (hello Chanel flats and Kate Spade Bag), but I honestly think the shape is just wrong for my face. I have pretty big cheeks so with the circle-ness of the shade it just made me look like a baby!
So if you can believe it – I didn’t buy anything! I really thought I was going to walk out like $500 poorer, but I just couldn’t make up my mind. Has that ever happened to you guys? Where there is tons of stuff you love, but you just get too overwhelmed by the choices!! I think if I were to go back this weekend I’d probably get the Celine glasses though (#1). They fit the best, and I think definitely would give me the most bang for my buck, but maybe I’ll try out the Nordstrom Rack in Dallas first!
