This Sunday my squad (yes I used that term because it makes me feel hip and cool) and I headed out on an adventure to explore the Park Lane area of Dallas. The shopping center is known for an upscale environment, amazing restaurants, and a Nordstrom Rack/Saxs Off Fifth! My original plan was to spend a long time and a lot of money at the Nordstrom Rack, but when we arrived we were all wayyyy too hungry for that (I was sad, but my bank account probably wasn’t).
We ended up eating at a restaurant my friend Darren suggested, called Gordon Biersch. It’s a german-style craft kitchen with an in-house micro-brewery and a very dark warmly lit atmosphere! After drooling over the steaks, pastas, and lobster mac-and-cheese, we decided to order the bratwurst mini pretzel dogs with caramelized onions, and the street tacos with fried cod and pico *yum*. Everything was amazing (I wish I had a bigger appetite at times like these), but the best part was getting to sample all their in-house brews (for free!) before deciding on the honey apple cider!
We walked around a bit and saw this awesome staircase! Since the shopping center is really only 2 streets, each store/restaurant is multi-level (as well as the parking) so they have a lot of cool tucked away ways to get to the different stories. Plus, stairs gave me the perfect opportunity to show off this awesome backless bodysuit that I actually got for my Halloween costume.
After getting chilly we stopped for warm coffees (and in my case a green tea latte because I’m an old women and can’t have caffeine past 7:00 p.m.) and realized THIS IS THE PRETTIEST STARBUCKS. Literally I’m in awe of the roof line and all the windows.
(P.S. Isn’t my pal Darren the cutest? He is always about them sweaters, and his shoe game always on point.)
I’m still so in love with this look. It made me feel like such a bombshell just showing off my curves! It also goes to show that whatever you buy for your Halloween costume can be translated to everyday wear – if you’re costume allows of course! Shop This Outfit: American Apparel BodySuit (I’m usually a small, but these fit really tight so I got a medium) // 7 Fam Mid-Rise Skinnies (literally so stretchy and flattering for curves) // Leather Jacket (bought last year at Lucky Brand, which runs a little big so I got it in a XS) // Tory Burch Velvet Heels (bought a few months back at Nordstrom Rack)
