“I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence.”
— Yves Saint Laurent
Though I am not wearing any YSL today, his words ring true in this stunning kimono-esque wrap top from Anthropologie. Some days you just wanna show a little skin, and I loved doing so in this silky ensamble. It kept me cool, and going braless kept the girls happy!
I’ll admit that when I first tried this top on I knew I was in love, but did not know how to wear it. I decided to get it anyways because of the amazing price tag ($30 – originally $150!!!). When I threw it on this morning I started with just a pair of dark wash denim shorts and pale pink ballet flats (seen on Instagram here). Though that was the perfect way to wear this top for running errands, I really wanted to show of the more feminine side of this top – which is what landed me on the pencil skirt!
The longline and pale color just fits so well with the silky aspects of the top. To amp it back up a little I switched out of my ballet flats, and in to the pointy toe d’orsay ones. I think this whole look just came together really well, and I’m so excited to wear it through the winter season as well!
