Happy Monday Loves! The start of the week is always very ‘ew’ so I like to have a little fun on Sundays to really cap off the weekend! Yesterday I honestly didn’t get dressed until 2 p.m. – and it was so awesome. When it was time to leave the house though I knew I wanted to try a little something I might not normally wear, because I had plenty of time to think my outfit through! See the results below:
The order I get ready in is: Hair, Makeup, Clothes. I do it this way because I don’t want my makeup melting off while I’m using hot tools on my hair, and I always seem to spill makeup on myself if I get dressed first *grr*. Yesterday I went all out with these bouncy all-over curls and *gasp* pink lipstick. Then with my girly hair and super feminine lips, I knew I’d be reaching for an equally adorable outfit.
Since it is so damn hot outside I wanted something I would barely be able to feel, so this short pleated skater skirt was my best bet! Skirts feel great in 100+ weather if you don’t plan on doing any sitting, but as I discovered my legs will stick to each other (and chairs) like freaking glue!
The real cherry-on-top for this look was the shirt. Honestly I’ve pretty much worn this exact same look (last seen here) before, but this top just makes it feel so different! First of all, the crop adds a little more summer sexiness than the plain white tee alternative. Second of all, hella stripes and hella of the shoulder and hella bell sleeves – there’s just so much going on *heart eyes emoji*.
*walkin away from the haters*
This skirt is definitely old so I’m just going to link to a ton of my favorite stuff that could re-create this flirty fun look *yay*!
