What. A. Day. I don’t know about you guys – but do you ever just get home on a Saturday and think “what the heck have I been doing all day, and why am I so tired!?!”. That was totally my day. Last night I took my fam to see Minions, but the only show time that wasn’t sold out was at 9:30! So it’s fair to say that since Charlee didn’t get up until 10:45, that we got a late start.
Then I was in a rush to get us all out of the house because my local Anthropologie was having a little birthday party from 12 – 2 and I was so excited to go and mingle! But when we got there apparently I hadn’t paid attention to my e-vite because I was a month off!! That’s right – the party isn’t until August 15th!! That’s okay though because it turned out to be the perfect opportunity to take some blog pics! I don’t know if any of you shop at Anthro but their stores have the best decor! 🙂
This pic was shot at this adorable table they had set up right next to the big windows that were just being flooded with light this afternoon. I totally wish my house looked like this 😉
I was all about the geometric shelving/bookcase situation. It looked so cool with all the knick knacks – but in reality who needs a bookshelf with shelves on all 4 sides?
Of course Charlee has to get in on the action!! She always wants to hop in pictures and when I tell her it’s my turn, she tells me I need to learn to share! 🙂 I guess I can’t argue with that…
After everyone who worked at Anthopologie had successfully given us weird looks we headed out to Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up, and to explore the town center for more fun places to shoot this look!
I am still getting used to this hair!! I have some ideas on how to style it… but today definitely consisted of some texturizing spray (link at the bottom) and luck!
So if I would have worn this outfit even 6 months ago I would have just tucked my tank in, but after recent Kardash inspo I’ve been drawn towards cropping! Unfortunately I don’t own too many crop tops, so my solution was to make a little knot (as seen here on Kim K)!
Tank // Target of course! Other black cropped tanks I ❤ here and here!
Skirt // Gifted! Similar full maxi skirts here and here!
Shoes // Tory Burch Miller Patent Sandal (runs a little big – try a 1/2 size up)
Body Chain // Nasty Gal Raise the Bar Body Chain
Texturizing Salt Spray // I use the texturizing spray but their whole collection is amazing! It’s really simple and not as expensive as Bumble and Bumble.
Thanks for reading everyone!!! Check me out on Instagram (@dressingdevon) for more pics of this look and my weekend 🙂 Also – comment and let me know if you guys prefer buying cropped tops, or tying up regular tops… I’m still not sure Have a great weekend!
