Punta Cana

Never before have I been to Mexico, or really any other beach vacations. In my lifetime I have been on a few cruises that stops at Islands in the area, but I rarely made big excursions out of it. But this month I traveled down to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for a friend’s wedding. Below are some pictures from the trip, and my thoughts on the whole vacay!

PuntaCana
This is one of my favorite shots of the resort we all stayed at! Breathless has gorgeous and modern the architecture, with two large pools, and three small lazy river style ones. Throughout the entire place, which was huge, there was absolutely no shortage of places to relax.

The last night we were in the DR there was a Toga party on the beach. When the party started it was pretty empty, but we snapped this pic while they were setting up the lights. I thought the truck in the back and the neon lights made for such a cool atmosphere 🙂

Ah this amazing beach. The resort had a walk-on right to a pretty good stretch. There was lots of seaweed, and one half had rocks with lots of fish (eek!), but in the right spot it was clear and cool water for miles.

Believe it or not this photo was shot at night! My master photographer the the shutter stay open for a pretty long time in order to draw in more light, but the result was the blurring effect of my dress because it was so windy! Way cool.

This is me and the grooms mom! She was the sweetest lady, thanking me for coming 🙂 I realized after the fact that my dress’s tie was crooked all night 😡

This is my absolute favorite picture of the bridesmaids, probably of the entire wedding party! So cute.

This was the resturaunt we ate breakfast at every morning! It was an amazing buffet with enough fruit to fuel me for a lifetime.

The groom! SO happy for you man.

Chris and I next to this cool office stand right on the beach. If it was a little brighter I would have take so many pictures here – I love to wood grain!

See! Wind! It was freaking crazy every night. The upside was it kept it cool at night, and made long silk dresses with handkerchief hemlines blow around beautifully.

Another shot of the beach from the other side of the beach. I love the way the sun catches the ocean and makes it look full of diamonds.

Chris and I with the bride and groom! Such an amazing wedding, amazing couple, amazing friends, and an amazing trip. Thanks for everything!
